Roy Dean holds first degree black belts in Kodokan Judo and Aikikai Aikido, a third degree black belt in Japanese Jujutsu, and a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
He continues to be a student of Roy Harris (7th dan), and is recognized as a black belt by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), with affiliated academies around the world.
